Our affiliate relationship

TCG Prayer participates in the TCGplayer affiliate program. When a page links to a card, single, or sealed product on TCGplayer through one of these links and you make a purchase after clicking, TCGplayer pays us a commission. That commission is the main way this site pays its hosting bill and keeps the candles lit.

Every affiliate link is labeled

Every button, link, or control on this site that leads to an affiliate destination is labeled “Affiliate link” at the point where you click it. You will never click an affiliate link without knowing it was one. Links are never cloaked or disguised: an affiliate link to TCGplayer goes to TCGplayer, visibly, not through a chain of misleading redirects.

Commissions cost you nothing

Affiliate commissions are paid by the retailer out of its own margin. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you arrive through our link or type the address yourself. Using our links is a free way to support the site; not using them is completely fine too.

What affiliate money does — and does not — touch

Affiliate revenue funds the site: hosting, data upkeep, and development of the free tools. It does not influence what those tools say. Our editorial content and tool output are not influenced by affiliate relationships. The odds explainer, the EV calculator, and the singles-vs-packs math produce the same numbers whether or not an affiliate link sits next to them — and those numbers frequently conclude that buying the single (or buying nothing) is the better move. A stats tool that bent its answers toward commissions would be worthless, and we know it.

No sponsorship or endorsement

TCG Prayer is an independent parody and informational website. It is not owned by, operated by, or officially endorsed by TCGplayer, Pokémon, Bandai, Wizards of the Coast, Konami, Disney, Ravensburger, Lucasfilm, or any TCG publisher.

Being in an affiliate program is a standard commercial arrangement, not a partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement in either direction. TCGplayer has no editorial input into this site, and no publisher has blessed it (we checked; they don’t do blessings).

If we ever run sponsored placements

We do not currently run sponsored content. If we ever add sponsored placements, each one will be clearly labeled “Sponsored” where it appears, distinctly from affiliate labeling, so you always know when someone paid for placement.

If anything about our affiliate setup is unclear, or you spot a link you think is missing its label, tell us via the contact page — we treat an unlabeled affiliate link as a bug.
